joe and tealka were married on the outdoor patio of eagle ranch resort this october. it was a beautiful location for their mountain wedding with gorgeous views of the valley in the background. despite some cool temperatures and powerful wind… these two kept things cozy with their amazing energy and undeniable excitement (joe might have actually been levitating as tealka walked down the aisle.)
i knew after their stunning engagement session that we were going to have a lot of laughs and a tonne of fun at this wedding. there were so many sweet and memorable moments… it’s hard to know where to begin.
tealka looked so beautiful in her wedding dress… i just loved how it accentuated just how stunning she is. tealka’s matron of honour andrea was one of the most skilled wedding dress fitters that i have ever seen. seriously this woman was good. really good.
one of the main photo location priorities after the ceremony was a shot of the newly weds standing in sinclair canyon just before radium hot springs. it was a shot they had envisioned and seen on my website from a previous shoot. it was so much fun bringing that vision to reality!
it was great to have my first assistant terri along as well as quintin, one of my grooms from last year who is into photography and whom we had actually done a rainy shot in sinclair canyon for during his engagement shoot with his wife laura.
what started as a bit of rain turned into actual hail as we were at our last location and we managed to keep everyone from getting too soaked. it’s not every day you get to say that it hailed on your fall wedding. or that there was a spectacular double rainbow.
joe and tealka, thank you so much for inviting me to share in your day. thank you for trusting me as we ran out in the rain and the cold and thank you for being such an inspiring example of love, joy and how much fun a wedding day can be.
