curtis and krista celebrated their wedding at panorama resort in the columbia valley this september. it was a rainy fall day with lots of beautiful light… there was mist on the mountain tops and the tamaracks were turning a golden yellow.
krista looked absolutely gorgeous. her dress fit her perfectly and the flowers were lovely. all of her bridesmaids had gotten to pick their own dresses and they looked great together. the guys were looking good as well, i just loved the plaid shirts with vests and the pocket knives they were all wearing. very ‘mountain rugged’.
we got to see curtis and krista’s adorable dog blue again and he was also looking good in a tie that matched curtis’.
the rain held off for the ceremony and was just starting to sprinkle as we were taking the family formals. i was excited to head up to the summit with curtis and krista for some newly wed photos as i had never been all the way to the top for wedding pictures. they were up for anything despite the cool temperature (especially at the top) and the wet weather. avid skiers, we had to take some photos for them with the signs at the top and the chair lift. it worked out perfectly… big thanks to our helpful and entertaining host ryan!
another somewhat dramatic day for weather, curtis and krista’s engagement session earlier in the season was also a lot of fun and i knew it was going to be an amazing wedding. weather can be a little more trying on a wedding day, so it was great to see how supportive the bridal party was… ready to get wet in a bit of rain for some beautiful shots with the bride and groom.
there were a lot of laughs as we headed down to the valley trail along toby creek and managed to get everyone out on the rocks by the river. i know it’s a good day when i am laughing so hard i struggle to snap the shutter!
congratulations curtis and krista! it was a pleasure photographing you on this amazing day. i wish you many more adventures in your life together!
