marcos and marisa are such an amazing couple… i first sat down with them last year to chat about their plans for a fall wedding at fairmont hot springs resort in 2016. they had some really great ideas for the big day and are both so sweet. i loved chatting with them about photography, life and love.
the engagement session was set for a friday evening and we had big plans for blue skies and sunset… as we met up in invermere it was overcast with dramatic clouds circling overhead and i knew instantly where we would go for fun, creative photos that could only be captured on a day like this by a couple like marcos and marisa.
there are huge bluffs that overlook the wetlands just outside of invermere… it is a spectacular spot any time of day but it works great for my photos in the evening when it’s overcast. i knew that marcos and marisa would have no trouble keeping each other warm and holding the focus of the photos. their love and connection was just as i anticipated… magnetic and brilliant against even the most dramatic backdrop!
marcos and i had chatted beforehand about sneaking his guitar into the truck as a surprise and he played the most beautiful song for marisa down by the water. these two have stories of love that will go down in history i’m sure. they lived apart for a portion of their relationship and marcos would play his guitar over the phone as marisa fell asleep each night.
marcos and marisa, running around the mountainside with the two of you in a bit of rain is a perfect example of why i love to do this. i can hardly wait for your wedding this october!
